Croll, John Sherwood

Son of the late John Croll, and Martha Croll, widow, of 9 Burghley Road, St. Andrew’s Park. Younger brother of Maggie H, Ida F, and Winifred M. Husband of Nora Lilian Croll, of 22 Surrey Road, Bristol.

Croll was born on 01/09/1894, and attended the School from 1908-1909. He served as a Private in the Army, with the Royal Army Service Corps, Motor Transport Company. Croll sadly lost his life on 21/01/1919, as a result of the War.

Croll is buried in Bristol Greenbank Cemetery, Britain, BBE. 7. Special Memorial.

Prior to the war Croll worked as a clerk in the timber trade. Upon his death, Croll left effects of £14. Approximately £700 today.
