Naish, Reginald Paul

Son of Joseph Whelstone Naish, gentleman, of 9 Cornwallis Avenue, Clifton. Younger brother of Edwin Athelstan, who also served and lost his life. Younger brother of Dorothy Eveline, Florence Madeline, and Edwin Athelstan. Also older brother of Gertrude E S. Edwin Athelstan also served and lost his life.

Naish was born on 07/12/1894, and attended the School from 1906-1913. He served as a Lance Sergeant in the Army, with the Gloucestershire Regiment 12th Bn.. Naish sadly lost his life on 04/05/1918, as a result of the War.

 

Naish is buried in Canford Cemetery, Bristol, Britain, section E, grave 365.

 

Severly Wounded (BGS Chronicle July 1918)

"served since the beginning of the war as Lance-Sergt. In the Gloucesters. He was severly wounded in France on April 22nd, and only survived a few days after being brought to England. He was buried with military honours at Canford, Westbury-on-Trym."
